Mrs Anthia Lazarou is a Quantity Surveyor with 6 years of experience in the construction industry in Cyprus and London. Throughout her career, Anthia has been involved in various Commercial, Retail and Hospitality projects taking on different roles and responsibilities.
For the first four years of her career, Anthia has been working for ISG, a tier one contractor in the UK. The first year, Anthia has had the opportunity to rotate across different business units in order to gain direct experience in Construction Management and Building Services Management enabling her to have a better understanding of a construction project as a whole. During that year Anthia was involved in two Design and Build Office Refurbishment Projects in Central London- 55 Gresham Street Project (£34M, 11,300 sqm) and Old Bailey Project (£59M, 22,296 sqm). She was directly involved in the site set up process, the coordination of subcontractors, inspection and test plans, site inductions, H&S inspections and the commissioning of services and demonstration of the fire alarm cause and effect.
Following the completion of the rotations, Anthia worked as a Quantity Surveyor on two projects; Wellington House (£12M, 4,500 sqm) – a D&B extension and refurbishment project of office accommodation and Mint Project (£69M, 37,161 sqm) – a D&B Designer Outlet Village Project comprising of 80 new retail units at the O2, an iconic building in London. Anthia’s involvement in Mint Project was the procurement and commercial management of £3M worth of work packages.
