Mr Nicos Savva has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of Operations, Business Development and Management. Throughout the years he has acquired significant experience in Acquisitions, Integrations and Large-Scale Cross-functional Programs as well as in Operational Excellence, Personnel Recruitment and Training Skills areas. He started his career as an assistant to the Sales Manager at Ingersoll Rand company in Athens, Greece and then as a Sales Manager at Mona Lisa & Demicci Textile companies in Nicosia, Cyprus. In 1994 he has joined Nielsen Company and during his 25 years career at Nielsen he has held key managerial roles like Managing Director for North Africa and Levant countries leading a team with more than 250 associates as well as the Operations Director position for the MENAP and AFRICA regions handling 20 countries and managing more than 500 employees. Another significant role was the Global Trade Dimensions leader (a web-based tool for census retail store directory) and a Cartography leader (digital maps) where he has established an operational foundation and global footprint to more than 40 countries. Over the years at Nielsen, he has set up successfully new offices in the MENAP and Africa regions. In addition, he has a proven track record of successfully leading, facilitating, executing and managing large scale cross-functional projects like Golden Oak project (MEMRB Market Research company acquisition), the Reach and Read Africa program, expanding from 12 to 20 countries in Africa. He is a Business Process Improvement (BPI) certified Black Belt (a philosophy of continuous improvement), having knowledge and experience with process mapping, Lean (reduce waste and cycle time) and Six Sigma (reduce variation and defects).
In 2017 he was the Acquisition Leader of the Nielsen – Retail Plus Joint Venture (RPJV)) project for the MEA region and a year before leaving Nielsen he was the Global Integration leader for the International Delivery Centre (IDC) for both Onshore and Offshore Nielsen business units. In June 2019 he has joined The Prosperity Group as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the group.
